The black raspberry fruit has a chance to shine. The palate is dark and a bit brawny, with enough tannins for pot roast or pork chops. The wine finishes long and savory, with that dark fruit trailing at the end.

This is the 2017 Veramonte Ritual Casablanca Valley Pinot Noir that I had last night.
On the nose the aromas are those of over cooked fruit, cherry, raspberry, stewed prunes, licorice, vanilla, oak and dark soil.
On the palate is a little bit of its saving grace, there are notes of cherry, raspberry, red currant, dark plume, spice, mushroom and dark soil.
Thenwine is medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel, medium acidity and fine tannins that moves into a medium fruit earthy finish. Have a wonderful coming New Year and stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷
