Aglianico del Beneventano

Very drinkable. Nothing special, but good for an apres-dinner glass of wine at a bar that is closing for the night on a Monday, when you are the only table in the restaurant.

Very impressed with this wine. Reminds me of a slightly sweeter Barbera. That’s my Xmas red sorted.

Light, minerals, very drinkable.

Deep ruby color.
Aromas of black berry fruit.
Dry. Flavors of cassis, vanilla, blackberry jam, licorice. Rich, chewy tannins.

Not my favorite aglianico

So much on the dark fruit side.

Legit, effusive nose of red & black fruit, peppery, ornery, brambly, tobacco leaf, some medicinal, dried herbs, turned earth, really love this stuff - unabashedly Italian, nice body & cut on palate, finish was a bit uneven but mostly because this was PnP

Give it air - plenty of it. Don’t drink in warm weather and have some hearty food and bread. Light intensity on the nose with a medium palate of blackberries. #aglianico
