Best wine in the joint (with the possible exception of Monte Bello). Old vine Grenache blends harmoniously with the Syrah from this warmer spot in Dry Creek. Huge berry nose; beautiful mix of fruit and earth on the seamless palate; the finish lengthy.

1 person found it helpfulMay 10th, 2018Paired with ground beef chili with homemade ancho chile seasoning. This wine was a great match, medium weight, good acidity to cut the spice and great fruit that is sun-warmed strawberries, blueberries and just enough from the Syrah (including black pepper and savory notes) to keep it from being too simple. Very long finish and well made.

Mar 4th, 2018Not as big as a lot of Ridge wines — just what I was in the mood for. Cherry then a little spice, followed by a hint of vanilla. Well balanced and very drinkable.
