1981 rated 4-8-17. Wow! Leather, sweet tobacco, soy, cold iron, brightness on the palate, silky texture, cherry fruit, teriyaki, umami, terrific acidity & balance. Still so youthful, smells like a fabulous cigar, this wine is amazing.

Nose like Beaulieu Private Reserve from the 60s. Orange peel, vanilla, light body, bright acidity--just like a great old Rioja. 10.8 alcohol. Wonderful bottle.
