Again, the influence of the Zinfandel isn't as heavy as the blend suggests. It has a great harmony to it, but it's not as full and heavy as a Zin usually is. I like this. I like this fact a lot.

78% Zinfandel, 16% Carignane, 4% Petite Sirah, 1% Alicante Bouschet, and 1% Mourvedre. Dried cherry, dill, and violet on the nose. A medium bodied, elegant offering. Drink now through 2019.

A new world wine with an old world soul. Great integration, ripe fruit and cocoa. Smooth tannin and such concentrated fruit.

375 ml. Bold blackberry and black raspberry on nose, white pepper, nutmeg, and chimney smoke. Palate is cooked blackberry, white and black pepper, hints of smoked meat and kalamata olive. Ridge's best non-Monte Bello. Need to get another bottle & hold it a few years, but so hard to do.
