Loaded brambly fruit overwhelmed our braised short rib. Reserve for grilled meats or cream sauces. Still, a fruit bomb I can get behind.

A delicious and earthy Zinfandel from Dry Creek Valley. Showing black fruits, wood, licorice, spices, dark chocolate, black pepper, peppercorn, spices, green vegetables and wet leaves.

Full bodied and bold with medium acidity and nice legs.

Dry and fruity with lots of earth notes on the nose.

Long finish with firm tannins and tangy raspberries.

Needs a couple of hours to open up properly, as it wasn't good right out of the bottle, so give it time.

Good by itself or with food. I enjoyed it all by itself. This 6 year old is very tasty now, and will continue to age nicely in the next 20 years.

100% organic Zinfandel grapes. Aged for 12 months in Oak barrels. Bottled January 2015.

14.9% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

100% Zin. Rich with plum, mocha and blackberry notes. Classic style of Zin with high alcohol but enough fruit and acidity to keep from going over the top

Every wine from Ridge I've had has been as excellent as this one. Superb clarity and strength - one for the cellar.

Pound for pound, one of the most solid zins out there. Blackberries, raspberries, spices galore.

100% Zinfandel. Red fruits, pepper, anise and a brambly edge. Varietally correct and very nice. Weighs in at just under 15% ABV.

Noticeably reduced at opening- fades away to nicer varietal notes, but first impressions, ya know...
