Ridge Vineyards
Buchignani Ranch Carignane
Aromas are lush and round: ripe blue and black berry fruit, warming spice, and a dollop of vanilla from the oak. Nice acidity and relatively lean body (which I like), but unfortunately the mid-palate is hollow and the finish very short. A bit underwhelming as I was expecting more concentration and length from these 60-80 year old vines.

Apr 30th, 2018Very nice. Medium bodied. Goes down too easy. After 4 hours open some added complexity showed up.

Moves around the palate with great energy and nerve. Hints of vanilla and sweet cream coming through on the nose. Cherry pit and mineral edge showing up after some air. Elegant wine with loads of potential, but drinking a bit backwards today. I’m glad I have two more bottles for the cellar.

Nov 13th, 2018First time with this varietal. Nice licorice and fig on the nose filled by soft tannins and confirm licorice on the pallet. Very interesting wine.

Jan 31st, 2021I love this. Beautiful nose, baking spices, warmth, dark fruit and vanilla. Would 100% buy again. 2016 vintage.

Aug 13th, 2019This is a great vintage, and highly recommend cellaring a few bottles for later. 9.1 for now, 9.2 with bottle age.
P.S.
Delectable, we need a score Range option.
Thanks in advance,
RB
