Phenomenal Chenin from Rhys. Medium plus acidity, beeswax, lemon, mandarin orange, green apple, the wine could sit down for another 5-10 years.

Good juice. Juicy with some bite but soft edges as it gained air. Closer to South African Chenin than Loire but hints of the latter.

Of course opened this way too early but couldn’t resist trying a Chenin Blanc from Corralitos. Beautiful CB nose with apple, pear and hay. Bright spine of limey acidity in the mouth with chalky minerals on the finish. Almost as good as the Alpine Chardonnay.
