Not overstating it a bit when I say that 2010 rocks district Syrah changed the direction of my life. This was made in the Cayuse cellar. Reviewed this wine the same before, “some of the best Syrah in the world” Olives, smoked meat, flowers, red fruit, acid...a little more heat than I’ve seen from this vintage. Feel like it was directly related to the storage. Cork was good but just a touch soft.

Rich. Powerful but balanced with high acidity and great minerality!

Rock star of a wine! Floral, peppery, bacon on the nose, BlackBerry, smoked meat, olive on the palate. Complex wine with a long mineral finish. Love the 13.5 Alc. Could easily mistake for Hermitage or Core Rotie

Tasted side by side next to Jamet Cotê Rotie. You can see the resemblance, but riper. Got to love WA State Syrah!

Man, was this complex. Blue fruited, violets, cured meats, hot stones and olive tapenade. Wow!

Spicy nose with white pepper and tapenade accenting the plum, casinos and blackberry fruit aromas. Quite youthful on the palate with spice and earth to match the plum and blackberry fruit. Supple tannins and bright acidity mingle with the berry fruit tinged finish.
