Nose is very rustic. This is a very pre Pierrick wine. Tree bark, desiccated orange rind, old dried leaves, minerals, library books. Old school nose. I’m digging it. Palate is pretty drying. Wow, that’s a saliva sucker. Some fruit, not much. Good length. I never say this but this needs food. A lot of food. Let’s see if air helps. Palate is a total letdown.

May 12th, 2022What a showing. Big classic nose of black and red cherries, spice, mashed flowers and a firm core of mineral. Lurid, feral and brooding yet also sweet and seductive. Insanely great aromas. Palate is a bit backwards now but show the high class terroir Pierrick Bouley is working with here. Great freshness and length and also ample structure. Insane length. Better in 3-4 years but wow.
