Some things l like - family, long weekends, friends and wine - Revana was started with H Barrett consulting - I buy her stuff - she seems to not be part of winery of late - but I have 09 and 10s that she was the winemaker consultant - now a new winemaker but still purchased 12 and 13s. I bet I got the history lesson wrong but what I was told but enough bs -decanted for 90 minutes - love the nose with cherries vanilla and other delights plus the lady of the home says right mix of pepper and sage (not sure I can go that far) - now the initial taste - dark fruits with some added black olives - really leaving great smiles here - I bet I open another since it is a holiday weekend

If you love napa with some age, this one is hard to beat. It's hard to not love this wine.

1 person found it helpfulOct 18th, 2014First off I use words from a theme of an immortal movie called Midnight Cowboy but modified to fit this post everybody talking at me - I can hear the words there saying - that is either a song for the insane or a cry for me to step up my game as my friends are crushing it lately with there wine choices of late
now that the wine is decanted for two hours and will be another hour before friends show up the first sip is so darn good / epic in fact - big bold and beautiful
Love the deep deep deep reddish color - tannins are so refined and the finish is exceedingly long that smiles are automatic
We have one more special wine tonight so stay tuned

07' Revana Cabernet. This Bordeaux blend wine is worth seeking out. Predominantly black fruits, with a little red cherry, plum & toasty oak. The balance & elegance of this valley floor wine 😇. Drinking absolutely flawlessly right now.
I wish I had more of the 07'. If you're not a fan of Revana, try the 2007... you could change your mind? Drinking now, with 4/5 great years in it. Heidi Barrett's best Revana! Buy the 2007 it's that much better than anything else she did with Revana!! Edit- Pop & pour, let it open up in your glass.
