Who says rhone whites can’t be lively and refreshing and balanced? Ok I used to but I really like this! Honeyed, pit fruit, white florals, almond, slight phenolic bitterness, eminently drinkable

This was a real surprise. Pale gold in the glass, quince paste, tangerine, floral, a touch nutty, but with real acidic verve—not even remotely tired or flabby. Not quite on the level of Gonon Oliviers but really fantastic. Maybe I should rethink my biases re: rhone whites. Excellent with cast iron chicken with olives and artichokes

Deeper gold in color. Quince/pear, citrus/orange peel, honey, some sort of tea, faint herb/vegetal note, bit of oxidation, white floral. Fruit was there, but somehow overshadowed by the densiry/weight of the wine. Very round and mouth filling/coating but not flabby. It has plenty of acid.

I thought white Rhône, but wouldn't have said 100% Roussanne. Good stuff.

Chunky lees, funky, oxidized, VA... It's a weird day when the best wine of 3 is from Pennsylvania.

Smoke, olive, cumin, banana, mango. Weighty expression without rough edges. A rewarding wine.
