This amazing little half bottle was still astoundingly fresh and vibrant, but best of all was the fact that it came from one of my first-love German Riesling vineyards, Piesporter Goldtröpfchen, and from the finest vintage of that decade - 1997!

Big, honeyed nose. Fresh palate with wonderful acidity. Better than I expected. Very pure and tropical. The classic Goldie creaminess is coming slowly and I am sure with air it will be there. Showing great.
