Stewed berries, vanilla, and a subtle mint herbaceous quality. Palate is full and lush with medium plus acid. I wish for more aromatic complexity but this has a very juicy delicious quality to it. I can't help but like it.

Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir. Deep ruby color with bright red fruit and beautiful acid indicative of a cool climate Pinot. Great structure with notes of winter spices, coffee and chocolate. Produced by two of nicest guys I have have ever met, Rich Aurillas and Dave Roberts - both former baseball players and all around good guys. Only 150 cases produced.

This is a home run! The winery run by owners and former SF Giants, Rich Aurilia, and Dave Roberts. Paired with a paella for this evening dinner. Dark red hue, and rich and opulent. Dark cherry, well balanced with cloves and earth on the finish.
