The best $16 wine on the planet?? Ok, maybe a tad extreme, and I'm biased because this is our current best seller. But it's the most drinkable sub-$20 red wine I've had in a LONG time. Wine Advocate gave this 2013 90+ points. This winery is owned by the guys behind Blackbird Vineyards in Napa. Shameless plug - you can buy an entire case from us for $192 including shipping!

A Malbec from my past, not too oaked or overripe. She teaches Spanish abroad.

Becoming my favorite Malbec in my book. Dark and brooding. Deep purple fruit. Not weighty. Balanced. Dig it.

Starts fruity and finished with a bit of a bitter edge on the finish.

Like the bright red fruits and acidity level, separates it from the pack.

Got an anise, black plum, brewers malt, nose. Tightly wound.

The first bottle I had months ago didn't wow me, but now there's a great mix of fruit and tannins. A nice medium + finish that outlasts the tannins. Very fruit forward and reminds me why I enjoy Malbec.

Dark fruit, charcoal, dried flowers. Pretty but maybe a hair heavy on the oak.

Only thing that brought this wine around was putting it in the vitamix. Not joking.
