Reckless Love Cabernet Sauvignon Syrah
A+ for gulp ability. Great "I'm gonna drink this while I'm cooking" wine. Dangerously tasty. Plus they're so much fun!

This stuff is great! After all.....no reason to be a "prisoner" to over priced gunk. Nor regard something as a "special selection" when its mass produced to the tune of 45000 cases. Less than 15k made of this bad boy! And did I mention.... A glow in the dark label!? Genius! Mustache rides anyone?

It's interesting to see how some wineries have to market themselves. These guys are maybe trying a little too hard (the wine comes with mustache wax if you order it online). Putting the gimmicks aside, we have a very solid, crowd pleasing wine here. Creamy and rich with vanilla and a slight toasty-ness. Lots of cooked down raspberries and fruit. A bit over extracted but balanced. Anyone paying for prisoner or a fan of the California style should give this a ride.

Sep 12th, 2016Trying to not be reckless after a bottle of this voluptuous red blend but I think I'm in love. Might be out of it's league at $16 but flavor and overall vibe creation within one 750 ml bottle might surprise even the most sophisticated tongue. Riddle me this and riddle me that but I'd like to solve this puzzle and it starts with a resounding must and ends with a buy. Put two bottles in the wine cellar and a case in your back pocket cause this shit will flow down your gullet like a lemonade in July.

Sep 3rd, 2020Pretty dark. Maybe not dark as night, but dusk. Smells fruit forward and a bit jam, jam jammy. Flavor is fine. Pretty similar to the Gravelbed Red I just drank. Maybe a bit less depth. It’s good enough. And it costs half as much.
As an aside, this wine had some of the silliest, most market oriented text on the bottle I’ve ever seen. In an ironic, silly way it helped lead to my choosing it. However I had very low expectations, and I though it would be Apothic and Menage e tiós style, but I was surprised by the complexity and deeper flavors.
