Even at 9yrs of age, this is a fairly rich expression of Dr Crane. It had signature notes of smoke, tar and graphite but was accompanied by black cherry cordial, ripe blackberry and fig. The core of this wine is certainly powerful and the finish is chalky and tannic but showing a touch of sweetness. Wonderful.
