Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

10’ Realm Dr Crane. Still needs a short decanting. 11- I think is better. Crazy right. 2 hours later ... holy moly! It’s singing!

Bordeaux like

Even at 9yrs of age, this is a fairly rich expression of Dr Crane. It had signature notes of smoke, tar and graphite but was accompanied by black cherry cordial, ripe blackberry and fig. The core of this wine is certainly powerful and the finish is chalky and tannic but showing a touch of sweetness. Wonderful.

A must decant at this point. Even better after a 90 minute decanting.

Ranks among the best Napa Cabs I have ever had. We were still talking about the finish 15 minutes later.

Really coming into its own

A bit high on the alcohol and over extracted
