Root beer and licorice on the nose. Very big wine with a rich full mouthfeel, tannins are present but subdued. Flavors of overripe black cherry, raisin and coffee. A great wine that probably could benefit from more time, but is definitely approachable now.

Dark color, full bodied and complex like a CA cab, but less fruit and more round spices (not prickly spices) + vanilla + dark chocolate. Silky and smooth. For CA cabs I loved it...until I tried the Sequoia Grove Cab 2008
