Le Pont Bandol Grenache Mourvedre
Blend of Mourvèdre (about 75%) and Grenache with a splash of Cinsault and Carignan in this ripe and spicy wine from one of smallest appellations in France. Deep Ruby with aromas of ripe black fruits and floral spice. On the palate flavors of plum and black currant with black pepper and herbs. Lively tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit and spice. Nice value!

May 26th, 2019Mourvèdre blend. Herbal nose with red and dark fruits. No evidence of oak. Firm tannins on the palate, fruit forward with decent acidity and a long, slightly savory finish. Alcohol is well-balanced. Very Mediterranean style. Not a complex wine but enjoyable.

May 31st, 2015Tough to find red Bandol for under $20, so this gets some points for value. Rustic, with hard tannins, but this was pretty nice with food. I'd like to see where this goes with some more time in bottle.

May 2nd, 2015Kinda meh — bistro wine, nothing special, dark fruited nose, animal, mineral, licorice, some density but comes across as a provincial. Well made tho and goes down quickly.
