Both this and their max. blend are delicious, and probably among the best red blends in the region. Probably the best? I think so.

Nice balance of fruit and earth, great acid and tannin structure, satisfying finish.

It was driving me nuts but I figured out the nose. Dill. Green pepper and a little mint in the palate. The cab franc seems to come to the forefront ( disclosures- not a big cab franc guy). Cab gives it some heft; more than I expected from a cool weather climate. Tannins and alcohol totally in check. Well made wine.
