I knew I was going to like this more than I wanted to. Awesome fruit/ petrol nose, wonderful acidity/ freshness, with an all around great texture. Find it, buy it, try it.

I read a FB comment the other day where some poor soul asserted that all Finger Lakes wines were terrible. Here is Exhibit number 1,267 that said commenter doesn't know jack about the region and its wines. Complex, refreshing, concentrated, with plenty of fruit and acid. Nice minerally finish. Their single vineyard stuff is even better.

I’d been meaning to try this and I’m a bit disappointed. The fruit is there but the nose is austere with indistinct citrus with no orchard or stone fruit. The structure is less imposing than expected, with good acidity, no minerality and a faint phenolic profile

Seriously this is dry. Tart crabapple at the first taste, and seriously the mineral backbone of this wine is really elegant. We had this wine with a lentil and andouille soup, and it was great. Somehow the spice of the sausage was clearest on the aftertaste of this wine. This is a great food wine.

Loads of pear flavor, but what is that plastic-y smell?
