Killer, inexpensive field blend. Black cherry, raspberry, bitter chocolate, saccharine, stems, pepper. Like Ridge wines for a lot cheaper.

I lean toward liking medium bodied high acidity wines with blackberries and dark cherry notes so I really like this wine. Cool marketing with interesting story. Great job Ravenswood team!

Friendly and complex CA red blend. A blunted spear. Blackberry and leather nose. Plum and cinnamon palate with balanced tannins in the mild finish. A California wine pretending to be a French red. What's wrong with that. Can't go wrong at six buckaroos per bottle.

Hint of vanilla and cherry aromas. Flavors are nondescript and fruit driven. Nothing to write home (or a newspaper story) about. Good enough with food. Matches up well enough with Italian pan frying red peppers and Indian dishes.

Dry but has a little burst of grape to it. Nice wine for a long day.
