12' Black cherries on the nose. Decant a minimum of 1 hour+. Green peppers, raw meats, black pepper, fresh blackberries . A long & inviting finish with red fruits. The best years are in front of it.

Patience is paying off as this bottle of the ‘12 was much more integrated then one pulled a few years ago. Cherry, cassis, leather and maybe some pencil lead and pepper, all layered nicely over some still firm tannins. One more in the cellar and thinking it could be even better!

Opened for a virtual Killer Wine Night Rhône varietal edition w/ the boys. Big and flavorful with a lot of structure. Lots of cherry and slate flavor. Young. Hold. Had it open for 2 hours and it didn’t make a dent. I wouldn’t touch it for another 5 years easy. Almost surely will score significantly higher with age.

Fu@k. Kicking myself for drinking my other 2 bottles too early. This is just coming into its prime. Peppery asphalt blackberry muddle. If you have this keep holding it.

Wait! This wine needs three more years. It’s amazing now yet we opened it and didn’t decant. It you have the patience, decant and wait a few hours. If not, cellar and forget about this bottle until 2020+ and then you’ll be singing it’s praises. It’s a beauty !!
