Gorgeous chard, like all Ramey. I will say I think some older vintages have more weight and depth to them but this is still great. Mostly butterscotch. But some lemon curd, pineapple, too. Just enough oaky tannins and vanilla to remind you it was in a barrel. Seemed ready to drink.

This is one of the top vineyard sites in napa they make 6 Chardonnay from different sites lemon drop candy with creme brûlée they have 40 acres of vineyard coming on line vanilla bean notes this was the first single vineyard wine that Ramey made along with he. Hudson the clones here is wente clone the cluster is very. The Hudson is a bit small and very concentrated and rich with lovely balance and a firm hand of acidity. Pale yellow, light floral notes after initial pour, no noticeable oak; light extraction. Quaffable but nothing distinctive. Poor showing from Hyde fruit. A better showing after an hour.
