Positively old-school, where rustic tannins and partly dried dark berries and dito cherries intermingle nicely, supported by minerality and fine acidity.

Nov 18th, 2014Sforato DOCG 2008, 15%.
This producer is considered one of the best for this particular type of wine.
Very elegantly, scents if blackberries and spices, also old wood, but very smooth.
89/100

Sep 28th, 2013Very young (infanticide!) and really closed. Opens up very slowly showin some kirsch, cloves, gingerbread, dark chocolate. On the palate powerful and v. tannic (15m in new barriques).
Don’t open in the next 5yrs! After should be a truly fine wine.

Jul 28th, 2018One of the most incredible wines I've had in years. Nebbiolo but made like a aged amarone but only Nebbiolo. Find it. Order it. Eat with heavy foods that need a strong red. Incredible. Most interesting man in the world would only drink this if he knew about it.
