Las Colinas Sonoma Coast Syrah
Quite a whiff of American oak at first but it largely blew off. Lush and supple, dark berry jam, mesquite, eucalyptus. Very drinkable but not sure this is more interesting now vs 10 years ago

Apr 12th, 2022Still youthful and delicious 12 years on. High toned, pepper, slight gaminess, and a bit of heat. Impressive Syrah.

Sep 5th, 2020Plums and cloves, background of wet pepper. Grape. Celery. Potting soil. Beautiful wine. Would like just a touch of oak.

Mar 2nd, 2019Classy- red fruited high acid Syrah. Absolutely gorgeous wine. 2011 vintage. Drinks like the song Dark Entries by Bauhaus. Some wildness, but balanced with Peter Murphy's deep energetic vocals. If you don't know the song, you have no idea what I'm talking about.
