Santa Barbara County Syrah
Dark fruit, smoky with black pepper. A little stink at opening but disappeared. Acid well intact, but overall delicious and paired well with spicy ribs...

Sep 27th, 2020From 375mL, under Stelvin. Great concentration of flavor, matched by aromatic intensity once it got some air. Red fruit, peppercorn and violet lead the way, filled out by umami on the finish; olives, cured meat and soy. Great value with years ahead if kept upright.

Aug 26th, 2018Spicy and smooth. A little bottle age has worked well with this fruity Syrah.

Jan 21st, 2019Cool climate characteristics with new world fruit. It’s a nice Syrah. Savory black pepper, leather, and bacon fat are balanced by plush, buttery blackberries.
