The palate offers full aromas of ripe black fruits, hints of cedar and tar and savory mineral notes. Balanced acidity with fine and round tannins. Very long, elegant, overwhelmed finish

One of the best wines in 2014 for me so far. Drinkable now but easily will age 30 years! Blueberries, violets, black and red fruits, beautifully layered, full bodied, ripe and full grain tannin, though there is an elegance to this. Best Portuguese table wine I have ever had. #2011 #portugal #douro #meao

Certainly modern… it’s fairly complex, big structures wine. At this stage the oak does not overpower and the dark fruit remains present. Ripe but not overly so.

An extremely integrated Douro blend. This is probably the most balanced and sophisticated wine from this region I have ever had. Dark fruits, kirsch and chocolate with the tannins being silky smooth to allow for it all to come together. A special wine from a special region.
