Got a Faible for Portuguese wine lately, this one is On-The-Go dense and full size, tobacco, leather and earthy notes with just a little fruit, much lighter on the palate, blueberry and raspberry, mediu body and a fresh finish with Still present tannins

Wood and vanilla. Reminds me of port flavors but is dry. Blackberry cobbler aromas.

No 92 in my scale (Uncle Bob) but a well deserved 90 points. Very good dinner wine with rustic food.

Sep 4th, 2016Strangely good. Smells of dried black mushrooms, and tastes of fresh herbs and violets. Really solid wine from Portugal. Lacks the punch of bigger red grapes or the complexity of Pinot Noir, but good solid wine!!
