Granite must be in the soil as this comes through like a Cru Beaujolais. Berry fruit spiked with subtle spice and smeared on a granite rocks, this is a great value at about $12-13.

First time for me trying the Castelao varietal. Beautifully herbal (chamomile) and floral aromas on the nose. Bright red fruit and herbal flavors. Touch of dark chocolate on the medium finish. Extremely silky tannins. Dry with a perfect level of acidity. Medium purple color and beautifully balanced. Call it: Portuguese Beaujolais! Great find! Revisited in August 2022. Still excellent! Great QPR.

Good for the selection from which we picked this however its light, not very structured, lemony, held together by the dry twigs ties around this wine.
