Dão Colheita Seleccionada Encruzado Blend

I’m torn between “watery” and “silky.” Acid is high, tanin is low. Somehow this bit of an oxymoron works!

... disappointment ... Nothing to highlight or memorable about this wine but it does gets better after some oxidation.... NOTE : something may be wrong with this wine ( storage ) bec I tried before and I remember notes that are not present in this one.

Another solid vintage. Blend of Alfrocheiro (40%), Touriga National (30%) and Tinta Roriz (30%). Dark ruby color. Aromas of ripe black fruit, violets and subtle spice. Flavors of black cherry/raspberry/currant/plum fruit, dried herbs and sweet baking spices. Slight touch of oak on the long finish. Noticeable acidity and very smooth tannins. Fresh and well balanced. Plush structure. Excellent value. Wonderfully consistent vintage to vintage. Thank you for saving me a glass, Chris B!

Tasty .. not to bad .. would buy again

Simple but distinctive aroma, not tart, sour and bitter. Clean and balanced. Very good.

Very good Portuguese wine

Dry, not delicious. Acidic and no great finish. We'll finish the bottle but won't purchase again.

Malvasia Fina, Cerceal & Encruzado grapes. Very pleasant for €15
