Quilceda Creek
Washington Cabernet Sauvignon
A splendid wine. QC flexing its incredible age-ability muscles with this 18yr old powerhouse. I had this about 6-7 months ago and this actually seemed better than the previous bottle. Youthful. A harmonious medley of blackberry, black cherry, plum accompanied by dark cocoa shavings and dates. The oak takes a back seat and compliments the fruit and secondary cedar/baking spice notes wonderfully. Great bottle, @joe leatherwood .

Jun 15th, 2019Monthly 4th Friday is post Thanksgiving this year, so lots of Thanksgiving style wines!
Group was split on if this had some VA on the nose. It definitely lessened as time went on. Chalky red and black fruit, tar, cherry tobacco on the nose. Wonderful texture on the palate! Definitely tastes younger than it is. Plum, cocoa dusted dates, and a leather/licorice combo toward the finish.

What else can I say other than it melts in your mouth.

Dec 7th, 2014One of the better QCs I’ve had. Needed a tin of air but became a thing of beauty.
