Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Blend
A quick decant and this unloads blueberry, cassis, plum with sage and espresso nuance. Beautifully balanced, a benchmark for Washington State Cabernet.

Jan 7th, 2022This CVR, Columbia Valley Red, is a blend of 87% Cab Sauv, 7% Merlot and 3% each of Cab Franc and Petit Verdot. Deep Ruby with aromas of black and ripe red fruits with notes of smoky cedar and earthy herb notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry and black cherry with sweet spice, black pepper and mineral notes. Long finish ending with smoky cedar, earthy notes and stewed fruit. Good balance, great now! Tried twice!

Dec 8th, 2019The last bottle from the ‘05 batch. The tannins have mellowed down to a luscious river of black cherry, tobacco, mud pie and boysenberry components.

Apr 13th, 2019Annual Man Cave dinner. 80+ wines accompanied by zebra, oryx, buffalo, bison and any other African meat you can imagine.
My first time with this wine. It surprised me with how open it was. Very ripe and sweet fruit (red, black and blue) with some coconut/dill that I normally get with American oak wines. Finish showed more licorice, baked fruit pie and nutmeg. Impressed for the price point!

Rich crimson with a dark core. Not typical Cabernet descriptors as regards Bordeaux and The high quality areas in Australia. On the palate Black fruits like black berry and currant. Good Cabernet structure still with superb supple tannins. The fruit and oak typically intergrated. Bottom line delicious in a new world way. I think this Wine might have been a 💯 pointer from Parker. After about 2 hours the perfume had magnified into gorgeous aromas with the palate maintaining those silky smooth tannins. Very impressive.

Oct 31st, 20172013-vintage. 15.2% alc.
Super early to evaluate this and it will no doubt drink better in 2+ years.
Classic QC signature (tart blueberry?) my gut feeling says to take this one on the upside so I'll be opening a few more before 2020.
