Field of Fire Chardonnay

Hold my phone, y'all, because I'm going to find a vat of this and dive in with a straw. Just... STUNNING. Fresh and alive. Zesty but with this mildew aroma that reminds me of an old rocking chair by the lake but with a salty minerality and long, lingering, exhilarating finish. I feel like I'm drinking from mother nature's bosom.

A hint of botrytis, super fine acidity, line and length

Up there as the best "new world" Chardonnay that I've had. Balanced body & acid. Happy times.

Touch reduced. Nice intensity on the nose, good acidy but lacking on the palate.

This is wonderful. Full and round. Mouth filling with great body and length. I note it is now quite expensive which is no surprise. Last of the 2015 in my cellar.

This stuff is bloody excellent. Had with chicken with tallegio and breadcrumb crust with baby tomatoes. Perfect accompaniment. Well rounded , fresh but long and complex. A burgundy rival without question. Love it. Tempted to give higher score.

Agreed with Garrett Pierce one of the best if not the best NW Chardonnays I've ever had

Lemon pith, chalk, some peach on the nose. Nice acidity, more lemon pith on the palate. Much more elegant than I'd imagined.
