Excellent vintage. Medium garnet color with a dark core and pink rim. Aromas of red cherries, lavender, sweet spices, rose petals and musky earth. Plentiful cherry, raspberry and mulberry fruit on the palate with additional flavors of Asian spices, black tea and cola. Long and lingering finish (just goes on and on) and impeccable balance. Medium-light body but a beautiful mouth coating texture. Fine grained tannins. Just so elegant and complex. I enjoy the entire Purple Hands lineup, but the Shea single vineyard option is consistently outstanding!

2022 vintage. Lavender-laden nose. Light-medium/medium body. A bit of shaken spice box laying before your feet. Expecting this to gain some weight with a few years. 04.09.25.

I love everything Cody and the team are doing at Purple Hands. This an earthy, balanced Pinot with loads of ripe berries and a whift of your grandfathers pipe tobacco. Clearly a shining star in the line up.

Musty alcohol on the nose... a little funky smelling. Tobacco and coffee on the palate. Very smooth. ‘16 I’d a great year overall..

Mar 9th, 2020Very Burgundian in body and style. Dark cherry and blackberry fruit with hints of cola, milk chocolate, Earth and caramel. Almost a Creamy texture. Revisited in April 2021. Very austere and elegant. Getting better with age. Revisited again in February 2024. Simply outstanding! Aging gracefully!

I like all pinot sourced from Shea in Oregon. This is a new winemaker to me , good but light Pinot aroma. First impression is smooth and dark fruit. There is an mid tongue funk. Not much of a finish. I think this wine will improve over time.
