This is the second red we enjoyed at Bowery Meat Company. Credit to the farmers: the quality of the fruit is pretty clear. Plump, hints of vanilla, juicy, voluptuous, it's a steak wine through and through.

We were a touch surprised. Not as plush and expansive as we expected.

From Trading Places movie - "Feeling good, Billie Ray" and followed by "Looking good, Louis" - using that to describe this wine - which is another big bold beautiful Napa cab with juice from the Beckstoffer to Kalon vineyard - decanted for three hours - it is ready and will deliver - Smiles for everyone (well I hope everyone but for sure I have one)

Fruit forward and very smooth on the finish. Not as flavorful as the diamond mountain but smoother

This is where you see a little more integration since it’s a 13 but what you really notice is a big step up in fruit quality. The best wine we tasted there.

This 2007 vintage To Kalon is in peak performance mode. Kick-ass for a Monday night fine dining wine, celebrating daughter's big birthday. - Tasted April 2015. Yeehaw! I will miss Tom Rinaldi as former winemaker.

Nice wine from a mid tier producer. Still has great To Kalon characteristics but definitely doesn't have the finish of a Hobbs or Realm (though can't beat the price). About as good as it's going to get though should be good for at least another 4 years.

Next baby is also a smiler - as Chicago says and I love to say "Saturday in the park - I think it was the Fourth of July"

Love that band and this wine
