Profondita
California Cabernet Sauvignon
Also tasted in February 2022; now 1June 2022. Everything I said in February holds true, except it is less jammy this time so slightly better.

Jun 1st, 2022Jammy? Yes, but not bad … just a little simplistic in flavor. Oaky? Yes, but if you like a cab with bite you will enjoy this. Tasted 26 February 2022

Jan 13th, 2022I had high expectations of this “Ripasso” style #cabernetsauvignon but it was far too jammy-sweet, with no acid for balance and excessive oak. Story didn’t improve after a day after opening, either. One of the few pretty bad wines I’ve had with #wsjwineclub. To be fair, the other bottles drank this same night with friends included a Ventoux and a 2012 Margaux. Being a Euro-oenophile, this over-extracted “old school” CA Cab didn’t stand a chance.
