Medium terracota with brown , orange tinged rim . Slightly balsamic , iodine tinged nose , not oxidised but just old with touches of mushroom , brown sugar, devoid of fruit . On the palate again way too old with quite high acidity but ok mid palate weight, very mushroomy , liquorice , dried wood character . Slightly chalky on the finish . Unfortunately curiosity value only here now , I’m sure was probably quite a nice wine 30 years ago . Maybe better bottles out there , though the first bottle I opened was maderised , so probably not from this source .
