Subtlety and complexity evident, with layers of dried raspberry, raisin before pencil lead, anise, mulling spices and essential tar and roses. Chemical quality. Tannins and bracing acidity still holding this gorgeous profile together.

Earthen and stoic with underlying notes of sour cherries and gripping tannins. Probably just the age, but it exchanges a lot of the strong flavors of red berries and spearmint from the Rabaja for more oak and soil.

Wow! Amazing wine. Needed an hour of decanting to start up then explosion. Raspberries, cherry compote, anise, flowers and herbs. Amazing nose and palate. Very long tannins that had a wonderful herbal umami quality to them.

Dec 19th, 2018Fantastic nose- blackberry, bramble, anise, leather. The palate is so fresh for the age, and silky soft tannins at lingering finish. Disappointed to not have another bottle left.
