Tawny mid crimson in colour. Aromas of menthol, tobacco, a little anise and new leather. Just medium weight with savoury red cherry and those aromatics coming through into the palate. Not as rich as I was expecting from a Rabaja Riserva which is generally considered one of the better individual Cuvées from the Produttori. Reminds one of how different Barbaresco is to Barolo. Hours later the menthol and tarry notes were persistent. Very good but not memorable.

Unreal - delicate violet aromas with cherry compote and cranberry sauce - finishes with a stewed black tea ... in Piedmont. Perfecto.

Need a lot of time to open. Dried, desiccated red cherry and raspberry, rose pedals, tar and balsamic. Beautiful silky texture, huge structure with dusty tannin. Produttori never disappoints.

Pale Crimson. Notes of Oxidative Varnish, Balsamic and Tar nuances. Damaged Label unfortunately. Bought this wine at Grande Vini in Alba in 2015. Only 60 Euros - not expensive when it comes from the source. Of the 9 individual sites in the Produttori , Rabaja is generally agreed to be one of the best, if not the best. One of the 1001 wines and a great match with Roast Pork.

This is not your typical Rabajà. So open and hedonistic. This will probably age, but man it's going to be hard to restrain myself.

Cooked raspberries, cinnamon, clove, saddle leather, and nutmeg on the nose. Smoke, mocha dust and more raspberries on the palate with a hint of brett and VA on the finish - nicely integrated, however. With the rich tannins and great structure, crack open this bottle in 2021.

This is drinking really well. It has great fine grained tannin, medium acidity. Everything seems integrated here. Red fruit, cigar box, and maybe some smoked meat.

Massive fruit component, hints of raspberry. Intense tannins that paired well with L'Artusi's tremendous pasta dishes.

The Best Yet today the Rabaja has a massive fruit component with intense tannin and body! Distinctive Cherries stand out. I think this is by far the Best! CB 97!
