Deeper garnet than the Drouhin. Also earth and sous-bois with riper red fruit. Soft and integrated and complex palate, with incredibly long finish.Fantastic showing for this wine.

Dirty, lovely, barnyard on the nose when I first opened it. As it opens, there is a burnt matchstick smell- not smoky but flinty. The fruit is subdued and dark cherry. Long finish. Absolute gem.
