Light yet savory, not fruity. Made some coconut basil pesto pasta to serve with. Amazing. Love me a good Sangiovese.

Bright ruby red color. Aromas of red cherry, coffee, wet potting soil and leather. Dark cherry, chocolate, meat and a note of iron or graphite on the palate. Hint of orange zest on the finish. Very dry and much to savory as the fruit is far in the background. Velvety texture and silky tannins. Medium bodied and lively acidity, but somewhat out of balance. Not my favorite Chianti.
