Sonoma County Merlot

Great Merlot. Lots of life. Nice fruit. Bit of toffee and coffee with a hint of dry cherry. Excellent with a roasted rack of lamb.

Wow!!!!

2007 Vintage. Dense dark chocolate and blackberry nose with rich plum and mocha flavors. Long lingering finish

Nice wine. Full bodied, supple tannins, cherry fruit, and nice acid. Really approachable now, and will go for much longer.

Gotta admit I love pride, but this is a bit over done, a jar of jelly beans, over ripe, and not discernibly Merlot by any stretch.

Merlot always done well up on the mountain.

Cinnamon, red cherry, raspberries, roses, lavender, spices. Caramel and other dark flavors/ tartness follow through. The aromas blare from the glass. Medium body with the intensity of something fuller, manageable tannins. Lingers and wants to be paired with lamb or complex cheese. Brilliant on its own.

Perfect compliment with chocolate that wasn’t overblown in any fashion.
