The 2022 Pinot Noir (Santa Barbara County) is a gorgeous appellation-level wine. Dried flowers, mint, herbs, anise and orange peel give the 2022 lovely aromatic presence. Pretty savory notes reappear on the finish, adding lift. This ethereal, lifted Pinot is a real charmer. $24.00 (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, October 2023)

So savory. Loads of bright red fruit and umami. Strawberry and forest floor. This was a perfect pairing for ahi tuna steak and bok choy. Santa Barbara is producing some outstanding wines.

Very, very charming: creosote & wild berries on nose, a gamay-ish but deeper red berries on palate. Maybe a 1-2 note but lovely, esp for around 20$

Just tried a third bottle over past 6 months. A light style Pinot, something I would find from OR, not Santa Barbara, however this bottle was a bit more pronounced in aromas and flavors. Medium Ruby with aromas of red fruits and spice. On the palate ripe raspberry and wild juicy cherry with cola, oak and earthy notes. Developing with integrated soft tannins, well defined, elegant with underlying richness, long finish ending with flinty mineral character. Outstanding value!

Light, but flavorful Santa Barbara Syrah, served at a Good Friday cocktail party in Wellesley, Mass.
