First wine of the Wine Advent Calendar. Technically this is day 2 ( day one was a chardonnay and was passed over in favor of this mellow to pair with meatball subs).

Nose is fruit forward with red cherry, backed by violets and just a touch of baking spice. Flavors are simple with primary blackberry, soil, and a bit cherry cough syrup. Medium plus tannins. Finishes a bit bitter.
