2001 Pongracz Desiderius Western Cape Brut. A bit past peak with loads of nuts, brioche and oxidative notes. Not horrible but should have drank 2-3 yes ago. #wine#southafrica

Broad nose whit apparent age where aromas are very intermingled. Yeasty, toast and nutty, with very light notes of caramel and oak. Fruit? Yeah, it is still there, if you see past all the autolytic notes. There’s yellow fruit such as pears, apple, grapefruit, lemon peel and pineapple. Very rich and bready. Quite broad, maybe lacking a bit of finesse and sharp acidity for a champagne geek.

Nä, inte speciellt bra tyvärr. Känns som kokt frukt. Har något kemiskt i sig som inte direkt höjer upplevelsen. Hade varit mer ok om den kostade typ 70 kr.
