Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill Brut Champagne

Deep medium gold color. Great nose. Notes of biscuits, kiwi fruit, apple cider and citrus fruit. Nicely integrated fruit and structure in the mouth. With air this really blossomed. At peak and ready to go. Not as good as the 96 tonight though.

Medium gold color. Light tiny bubbles. Notes of green apples, bread yeast, some citrus and citrus pit, and river stones. Modest in the mouth at first but with air this grew up and improved. Maybe a touch past its prime but a good start to the evening… (Bday 1 of 12)

Maybe the finest champaign I had in awhile. Crisp, with some pear and apple in the body and on the nose. Nice long finish.

Cooked dogs and apricots clean and well balanced. What a great way to start our legendary dinner. Stay tuned.... Thais is just the beginning of an epic evening! I promise you will be impressed with tonight’s lineup!

I've heard Winston drank up to 400 bottles a year of Pol Roger and after tasting this beauty... Only the 15th vintage....i know why. Certainly more pinot than any other grape this champagne drank like a wine after it was open for two hours. Delicious and crisp.... Thus monster spent ten years on the Lees but damn it's good.
