@Plate & Bottle Summer Dinner.

Main Course, Beef Skirt Steak, Roasted Tomato, Artichoke, Potato Mousseline. Steak has mash potato, roasted tomato relish, lemony artichoke purée with a smokey component.

Hedy is an amazingly, creative Chef.

Superb food & the wine pairing doesn’t suck as a friend of mine is famous for saying.

Stupidly good with hand made pizza and Mediterranean salad.

Sweet and sour dark cherries framed in dark fruits, layered baking spices and nice wood use.

Seriously hitting its stride with at least another ten years of good drinking ahead.

Great nose of black cherry and tar, really nice. When it hits my tongue I immediately get more black cherry and chocolate. Smooth and slightly tart with a dryness to be expected from a young wine. Reddish-violet color and somewhat leggy. Hard to go wrong with Brunello.

Unusually light bodied Brunello, very finesse driven. Cherry fruit and pepper spice. Balanced with soft tannins. Long finish, but just a tad “thin.” Solid, but I have had better vintages of this wine.
Revisited this wine 6 months later. Pretty similar tasting experience to what I noted above.

Dark & light sweet & sour cherries, strawberry hues, dark raspberries, silky limestone minerals, chalky on tongue. It's smooth elegant but simple. However, it did pair well with the spicy tomato sauce with sausage over linguini.

Nice sweet and sour cherries, at times liquor like, ripe blackberries, dusty limestone, slight tar quality, elegant and smooth.
