Pale color and surprisingly light in body, this doesn’t seem like it’s losing steam (despite not being stored appropriately). Big strawberries, crushed raspberries, vanilla and a little brandy notes on the finish. The palate is still acidic, with light tannin now softened with time, with prominent meaty notes, pepper, tart cherry, and cranberry and tomato sauce at the finish.

Jan 7th, 2024Baby #brunello ? Not really, but it's a decent lighter Tuscan Sangiovese nonetheless. Cherry, touch of vanilla and spice aroma with softer tannins (than the 2010 judging by other reviews) and some nice acidity. Pairs pretty well with red pasta dishes garnished with Parmesan though it's just mediocre when sipped without food.
