This is pure deliciousness. One of the best whites I’ve had of late. Sort of viognierish sort of chardonnayish sort of Mediterraneanish. Balance.

Looking at other reviews, people taste everything under the sun in this wine! Definitely complex and nuanced. I’m getting dried apricot and green papaya, maybe some pear. Very nice acidity. Last night in Zurich.

Fantastic Vermentino, coastal Tuscany. Deep Stony and mineral character, tropical notes, fruits and flowers, rosemary. Perfectly balanced!!!
Dazu: Kaninchen aus dem Ofen / Myrte-Wacholder-Wilder Thymian / Mangold-Pinienkerne / fermentierter Pfeffer-Zwiebel-Radicchio

Sipping Fine Wine

Poggio al Tesoro is located in the admired area of Bolgheri, an appellation situated in the upper part of Tuscany’s Maremma, south of Pisa and just two miles from the Tyrrhenian Sea. Pale lemon with aromas of fresh stone and tropical fruits accompanied by floral tones and light citrus notes. On the palate tangy peach, melon and lemon flavors, crisp, surrounded by nutty spice. Medium body this wine finished with a gentle touch of savory mineral. Tasting Sample.

Scintillatingly rich legs, fine yellow resin hue; lychee, dragonfruit, Cape gooseberries, with hints of rosewater and lavender; balanced acidity. Very well structured, with tropical overtones. Long. Like a hurricane in a dog bowl.

Vermentino is very reliable. Lemons, grass, tart gooseberries, herbs, white tea with a creamy texture and salty finish.

Really well made wine. Sharp without being abrasive.

Crisp, clean, acid-driven Vermentino. Sour, palate-cleansing notes of lemon pith, hay, and tart pear. The weight on the palate is impressive, yet the finish washes over the back of the mouth and makes you want another glass. Simple… direct… perfect for a night in Anguillan paradise.

This wine truly ocks. Clean fruit battles with some barnyard funk. Minerals and citrus zest restore the balance and make sure neither side wins.
